Cervical Decompression for C7 Disc Bulge

drx9000c san francisco
DRX9000c Cervical Decompression

We have been providing spinal decompression therapy in San Francisco for over 8 years now. The machine we use is the DRX9000c.

Cervical decompression systems are designed and built to treat bulging and herniated cervical discs without drugs or surgery.

The C7 disc bulge is one of the most common conditions we treat with the DRX9000c. The C7 disc is the disc at the very bottom of the cervical spine in between the C7 and T1 vertebra. The C7 disc will often bulge as an adaption to things like abnormal stresses from poor posture over time, injury (sports, auto accident, repetitive strain) or degenerative disc disease…to name a few.

Typically, a bulging disc in the neck will eventually herniate if left untreated. This is why it’s so important to get the right kind of treatment as soon as the disc bulge is diagnosed.

Cervical disc decompression treats bulging and herniated disc by elongating the spine, re-positioning the disc, enlarging the disc space, and creating a negative pressure, which actually pulls the bulging disc material back to the center of the disc.

The treatment protocol is 20 sessions done as follows:

5 times for 2 weeks, 3 times for 2 weeks, 2 times for 2 weeks.

The sessions are about 50 minutes. You receive cervical decompression for 30 minutes, then 10 minutes of muscle stimulation, then 10 minutes of ice.

Bulging cervical discs at C7 can cause symptoms like arm pain and weakness, loss of grip strength, numbness and tingling in the arm and hand, night pain, and headaches.

Success rates are high with the DRX9000c.

If you have been diagnosed with a bulging or herniated disc in the neck and would like to fined out if you are a candidate for cervical decompression with the DRX9000c we would like to hear from you.

Cervical Spinal Decompression in San Francisco

Cervical Spinal Decompression can make a lot of sense for disc herniations in the neck.  Neck surgery can be very scary…there is a lot to go wrong. What happens if you have a cervical fusion  and it does not work?  You are stuck with it.

The worst thing that can happen to you from nonsurgical spinal decompression to the cervical spine is it does not work. You are still left whole and can explore other treatment options…including surgery. Sure, some people get sore…a very small percentage real sore…but so what…they are already sore.

The machine we use at our San Francisco Spinal Decompression Center is the DRX9000c. The DRX9000c is designed and built to treat neurovascular compression syndromes in the neck such as herniated discs, bulging discs, cervical stenosis, disc degeneration, and facet syndrome.

The DRX9000c treatments last about an hour. Typically, we do 20-24 sessions depending on the level of severity and response to treatment. Sometimes more…sometimes less. There is also extensive rehabilitation and home care…including dietary recommendations (plant based nutrition), sleeping position, and ergonomics.

There are other fine cervical decompression machines out there, but the DRX9000c maximizes patient comfort and the outcomes are excellent.

We usually do cervical decompression in conjunction with deep tissue laser therapy, ice, and massage. Muscle stimulation is included also.

Will cervical decompression with the DRX9000c work for you? Don’t know…and neither does anyone else. We have to clear you for decompression therapy and make sure you have no contraindications such as spinal fusion, severe osteoporosis, severe scoliosis, and more. Most cervical disc patients qualify.

So…if you have been diagnosed with a herniated disc in your neck and conventional treatments are not helping…you may want to consider the DRX9000c before you go under the knife…you can always do that. But if you have surgical fusion…you will NEVER be able to try nonsurgical cervical decompression.

To find out if you are a candidate for cervical decompression with the DRX9000c…call our Spinal Decompression Clinic in San Francisco at 415-392-2225. Mention this blog post for a complimentary consultation.

Cervical Decompression with the DRX9000c or Surgery?

Many patients that have been told they need neck surgery, are choosing to try cervical decompression with the DRX9000c first…why? Well, because neck surgery is much more risky than nonsurgical decompression, and the outcomes are not all that great. Plus, you cannot undo a cervical fusion.

DRX9000c Cervical Decompression

Once you have a cervical fusion, other treatment options are limited.  And, you will never know if cervical disc decompression with the DRX9000c would have worked…because you are now disqualified from treatment. We can’t perform decompression to a permanently fused spinal segment.

I once had a retired surgeon beg me to perform the treatment. The surgery had failed. He said he would have the hardware removed. He could only sleep upright…it was very sad.

I guess the point I am trying to make is that you can always have neck surgery. If nonsurgical cervical decompression fails to deliver results you are still whole and can try other options…including surgery.

The DRX9000c isolates on the specific areas of involvement and does the following:

  • Enlarges the disc space
  • Stretches the spinal ligaments
  • Repositions the herniated disc
  • Re-hydrates the injured disc
  • Strengthens  the spinal muscles

Does the DRX9000c repair every cervical disc herniation it treats?  NO…just most of them.

Will the DRX9000c help you? Maybe…but you have to qualify for treatment first and be willing to follow through with home care and exercises. Believe it or not…some would rather have surgery. Here…you fix me mentality.

Chances are if you are reading this blog you are searching for a nonsurgical solution for a herniated or bulging cervical disc. If so, you may have found it.

Cervical Decompression Therapy Review

Patient Review of cervical decompression therapy in downtown San Francisco. Cervical decompression with the DRX9000c is a nonsurgical alternative to risky neck surgery and cortisone injections. The DRX9000c makes sense for disc herniations in the neck as well as disc bulges, cervical disc degeneration, and facet syndrome. Cervical decompression therapy just makes sense!
